Driveway Cleaning & Resealing in West Yorkshire

Commercial jet washing and resealing to restore colour and protect existing concrete, paving and resin.

Clean & Reseal

Clean & Reseal by a City & Guilds approved team

Over time even the best driveway picks up dirt, moss, algae and tyre marks, and sealers wear thin. A professional clean and reseal can bring back the original colour and protect the surface for years to come, often at a fraction of the cost of replacing it.

We use commercial jet washing equipment to deep clean imprinted concrete, block paving and resin driveways and patios across Pontefract and West Yorkshire, then reseal where appropriate to lock in the finish.

  • Restores colour

Removing ground-in dirt and green growth reveals the original colour of your surface.

  • Protects the surface

A fresh coat of sealer helps resist stains, weathering and weed growth.

  • Cheaper than replacing

Many tired-looking drives just need a proper clean and reseal, not a new installation.

  • Suits most surfaces

We clean imprinted concrete, block paving, resin and patios.

When a clean will do the job, and when it will not

Restoration pays off if the surface underneath is still sound and only its appearance has faded. Dull imprinted concrete, green block joints and blackened patios are typical candidates, and the improvement can be dramatic within a day. Structural trouble is another matter. Washing will not lift sunken paving, close a wide crack or cure pooling caused by poor falls, and a sealer over those faults merely shines a light on them. Flaking old coatings need stripping first, which adds time. Resin surfaces usually want a gentle wash rather than any extra coating, because blocking the pores would undo their drainage. Deep oil staining may fade without vanishing altogether, so expectations are worth setting early. If several of these problems appear at once, relaying the worst section could be better value than treating everything.

Moss control and choosing the right sealer

Blasting moss away gives quick results but leaves spores in the joints, which is why growth so often returns within months on shaded paving. Following up with a biocide treatment kills what the lance cannot reach, and it needs a dry spell to work. Sealer selection matters just as much. Solvent-based acrylics suit imprinted concrete, deepening colour and giving that familiar wet look, yet they can turn cloudy if applied to a damp surface. Block paving often does better with a water-based or polyurethane product that binds the jointing sand, helping it resist rain and sweeping. Natural stone may need a breathable impregnator, since a film can trap moisture and spoil the texture. Layer upon layer is never the answer, because thick build-up peels, whitens and becomes slick underfoot in wet weather.

How it works, step by step

  1. Step 1

    Assessment

We look at the surface and any staining, then recommend the right treatment.

  2. Step 2

    Deep clean

The surface is jet washed to lift dirt, moss and algae.

  3. Step 3

    Repairs & joints

Block paving joints are re-sanded and any minor issues are flagged.

  4. Step 4

    Reseal

Once dry, a suitable sealer is applied to protect and enhance the finish.

FAQs

Clean & Reseal: your questions answered

Can't see your question? Call Sean on 07860 510073 or read our general FAQs.

How often should a driveway be resealed?

It depends on the surface and how much use it gets, but most imprinted concrete and block paved drives benefit from a clean and reseal every few years.

Will jet washing damage my driveway?

Not when it is done properly. We adjust the pressure and technique for each surface, and re-sand block paving joints afterwards.

Can you clean a driveway you did not install?

Yes. We clean and reseal driveways and patios whoever installed them.
